I only take on a small number of bookings per month, this means I will become fully booked more quickly. It also means you can expect a more focussed level of service... Unlike most cake designers, I will not be working on numerous other cakes at the same time as yours, so you can be assured your cake will not be hurried and it will be given the exclusive love, care and attention it deserves.

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?
Once availability is confirmed for your date, I can discuss your initial wedding cake ideas by email or telephone including the cake size needed for your number of guests, cake decoration and design. A mood board or invitation to your Pinterest board is a great tool for this.
I can then provide you with a quote which is valid for 28 days.
Don't worry if you are unsure what design details you would like just yet, as many people secure their date many months before they have finalised a design for their wedding cake.

All wedding cakes require a booking fee of £100.00 paid through the online shop. Rest assured, once your booking fee is paid, your date is booked, leaving you to enjoy the rest of your planning.
We work on a first come first served basis and dates cannot be held without a booking fee.
Once you have paid your Booking Fee, I recommend a consultation around 4-6 months before your wedding date to finalise the design details and discuss delivery. This can be in person, via video or phone call, whatever works best for you.

As summer is such a busy time for making wedding cakes, consultations are held between November and March, but I could accommodate other dates if I have availability.
Please note I do not offer design consultations for simple buttercream cakes with fresh flowers.
I will confirm your chosen design along with flavour choices around 5-6 weeks before your wedding date and send your final balance invoice for any outstanding payments.
The remaining payment is due 4 weeks before the wedding date.

Consultations prior to paying your booking fee are charged at £30.00 and include a Cake Taster Box for you to take away and enjoy at your leisure, this cost is payable in advance and is non-refundable.

If you are unable to make a consultation date then our Cake Taster boxes can be supplied at a cost of £30.00 if collected from us in Penwortham or can be posted within the UK for £36.00.
...design and tasting consultations
If you would prefer to taste my cake prior to booking you can order a Cake Taster Box from the website shop, these can be collected from the studio or posted. Or, you can choose to book a no commitment consultation if you would prefer to meet and discuss prior to securing your date.
My full design and tasting consultations in Penwortham are charged at £30.00.

Consultations are for two people and are by appointment only. Appointments are held 11.00-17.00 Tue-Sat between Nov-Mar, will last approximately 1 hour, and require a minimum of 4 weeks notice.

I have provided wedding cakes for many couples with all details being dealt with online, via email or telephone. It is not essential for a face to face consultation, design and tasting can be done remotely in the comfort of your own home if this is your preference.

For couples local to Lancashire, I will arrange the full design and tasting consultation after saving your date by paying your Booking Fee. During your consultation I will confirm the design, discuss all the finer details and any table styling. I will also outline your design while you sample up to 6 flavour tasters from our flavour menu.
Please note if I have confirmed the design during the quoting period, a face to face consultation is not required.

My beautiful Cake Taster Boxes are complimentary for all couples, once the booking fee has been received, and will give you the opportunity to try some of our popular cake flavours (one box per couple).

The consultation process includes a Cake Taster Box of six flavours of cake from the flavour menu (excluding fruit cake) if you have paid your booking fee. If you have not paid your booking fee, a charge for my consultation service is payable online and is not deductible from the final balance of your wedding cake order.
Extra tasting boxes are sometimes available but are charged in full at the time of ordering and are not deductible from the final balance of your wedding cake.
Cake Taster Boxes can either be collected after securing your date with your booking fee or handed to you during a face to face consultation, they can also be posted (with additional postal charge)

After securing your date, and your design and flavours have been confirmed you can happily continue with the rest of your wedding planning with peace of mind.

I will contact you again approximately 5-6 weeks before your wedding, to re-confirm all the details, and to see if there are any changes.
Once confirmed, you will receive your final balance invoice ready for payment 4 weeks before your wedding.
